Syngenta Group China’s Unveils First “Zero Carbon Factory” |

Lately, Syngenta (Suzhou) Crop Protection Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Syngenta Kunshan Factory”) received the “Carbon Neutrality Certificate” from China Beijing Green Exchange. This marks the emergence of Syngenta Group China’s first “Zero Carbon Factory”, which will lead the low-carbon transformation of the agricultural industrial chain and supply chain. A “Zero Carbon Factory” uses energy-saving emission reduction and carbon credit offset measures to achieve zero net emissions from the manufacturing process. As Syngenta Group China’s first “Zero Carbon Factory”, Syngenta Kunshan Factory achieved energy savings and carbon reduction through fine management of plant equipment and reduced operational energy consumption. The philosophy of green development is integrated into the entire production and management process of the factory, from product packaging upgrades to delicate equipment operation and green supply chain management. By creating a “Zero Carbon Factory,” Syngenta Kunshan Factory has increased its output value by 17% in 2022, with an 11.34% reduction in unit energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions intensity. Green and low-carbon development is a significant goal for Syngenta Group China’s sustainable development. In the future, Syngenta Group China will focus on top-level design in terms of strategy formulation, technological innovation, production operation, organizational optimization, and digital development. Additionally, the company will provide more support in areas such as risk management, capacity enhancement, and increased investment in talent and funds, aiming to drive the transformation of green, high-quality development and enhance Syngenta Group China’s leading role in demonstrating green and low-carbon development within the industry.
