On October 17, KraussMaffei showcased its brand new MuCell process (microcellular foaming technology) at the FAKUMA 2023, demonstrating its innovative solutions for low-carbon, green production in the plastics industry, developed in collaboration with its partners. At the exhibition, KraussMaffei demonstrated the application of the MuCell process on the PX321-1400 all-electric injection molding machine, capable of producing automotive storage trays with textured surfaces and foil decoration, suitable for manufacturing complex-shaped appearance parts. Specifically for the MuCell technology, KraussMaffei has developed a new HPS high-performance physical foaming screw and upgraded the APC plus (Adaptive Process Control) function, resulting in a 30% increase in plasticizing capacity, a significant improvement in the weight consistency of injection-molded parts, while substantially reducing the investment and operational costs of plasticizing units. This assists clients in material savings, reducing their carbon footprint, and achieving green and sustainable development. |
