Syngenta recently signed cooperation agreements with government departments in Bangladesh and Brazil to support sustainable agricultural development.

On Sept. 12, Syngenta Bangladesh inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Bangladesh's Department of Agricultural Extension in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. According to the agreement, Syngenta Bangladesh will offer modern agricultural training to local farmers and introduce advanced farming techniques to enhance crop yield and quality. These efforts will help local farmers increase their income and ensure food security in Bangladesh. With over 50 years of presence in the country, Syngenta Bangladesh was established through a joint investment from Syngenta and the Bangladeshi government.

On Sept. 13, Syngenta signed a cooperation agreement with the Department of Agricultural Policies and Rural Development (DPADR) of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil to assist in agricultural recovery efforts following floods. The agreement aims to optimize local agricultural production processes and bring agricultural production in the disaster-affected areas back to the levels seen before the disaster.
