Benefit Corporation (B Corp) refers to a company that, within the global economic context, aims to drive commerce towards being a force for good. B Corp is certified by the innovative non-profit organization "B Lab" (Beneficial Lab). B Corps prioritize serving the community, consumers, and employees, as well as benefiting the environment, instead of solely concentrating on profit. B Corp certification evaluates companies on a range of criteria beyond just environmental protection. It also measures impact across five areas: employees, community, environment, governance and customers. Receiving a minimum verified score of 80 points on the assessment is the first step towards B Corp Certification and companies must re-certify every three years to retain B Corporation status.
