A subsidiary of Sinochem Corporation, China Foreign Economy &Trade Trust Co., Ltd. (“FOTIC” for short) is dealing with the trust services. Incorporated in Beijing on September 30th, 1987, FOTIC was approved by the State Council to be reorganized into Sinochem Corporation on December 31, 1994 after a merger with Sinochem’s own financial company. On September 1st, 2002, FOTIC was granted the new licenses for financial business pursuant to CBRC’s “Regulations on Trust Enterprises” and “Regulations on Collective Fund Trust Scheme for Trust Enterprises”, becoming one of the few central trust companies under the direct supervision of the CBRC.
