From August 12 to 13, the Chinese Society for Plant Biology (CSPB) held its third “Award for Outstanding Young Women” ceremony to honor 13 young female scientists. The prize was exclusively sponsored by Syngenta Group.
In 2019, Syngenta and CSPB jointly initiated the Award for Outstanding Young Women, which aims to reward young female scholars in China who have made innovative research achievements. In this year's selection, the expert panel awarded 13 winners from the fields of plant sexual reproduction, root nodule nitrogen fixation, and pathogenic microbial interactions.
In addition, Syngenta Group has provided a special fund to support outstanding female scientists from remote and poor areas, allowing them to participate in academic exchanges.
