Lately, Chonfar Engineering and Technology and a company of the United States signed two design service contracts for black powder resource utilization projects
The signed ternary precursor synthesis project with an annual output of 2,500 tons and an annual output of 7,500 tons of black powder resources uses new purification and impurity removal technology to dismantle waste batteries as well as purify and remove impurities from black powder raw materials, so as to produce low-nickel ternary precursors and lithium carbonate, high-nickel ternary precursors and lithium carbonate respectively. The implementation of the two projects will greatly reduce the operating cost and energy consumption of the owner’s waste battery recycling, and promote low-carbon energy conservation.
At the beginning of this year, Chonfar signed a research and design project contract on 15,000-ton/year waste battery electrode powder recycling and resource utilization technology with the company. The project has won high commendation from the American owners and project partners, laying a solid foundation for the follow-up cooperation between the two parties.
