2024 marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Norway. Recently, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway Espen Barth Eide visited China and met with representatives from Norwegian companies and various sectors in Shanghai. Representatives from Elkem participated in the activity.
During the event hosted by the Consul General of Norway in Shanghai, Elkem representatives briefed Eide and the Norwegian Ambassador to China, Signe Brudeset, on the company's development.
Elkem is always dedicated to driving sci-tech innovation and developing products that prioritize green transformation. The company has made efforts to promote the utilization of specialized organic silicone products in hybrid and electric vehicles. Additionally, Elkem is ramping up investments in new technologies and processes to contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, according to the representatives.
Eide expressed that China and Norway share common goals in green transformation and will continue to support the green development of enterprises from both countries.
