The first phase of the distributed photovoltaic power generation project of ADAMA's Sanonda base, located in Jingzhou city, Hubei Province, was completed and connected to the grid on Aug. 23.
The distributed photovoltaic power generation project is the first of its kind at the Sanonda base, as well as the first of its kind launched by a hazardous chemical firm in the Jingzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone.
The project has three phases. The first phase started construction in October 2023, with an installed power generation capacity of 1,950 kilowatts. The project can supply about two million kilowatt-hours of green electricity to the base annually, which is equivalent to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 1,600 tonnes a year. The project is expected to generate 50 million kilowatt-hours of electricity over its lifetime, saving the base energy costs of over five million yuan.
