Hangzhou Water Treatment, a subsidiary of the corporation, has accumulated over 50 years of technical experience in the field of membrane water treatment. It has established seawater desalination systems in more than ten countries and regions around the world, and its overall technology has reached the international advanced level.
Water treatment
Sinochem Environment’s water treatment business focuses on the group’s core base and industrial chain, developing a water cycle service system that provides technical, engineering, and operational services in the areas of water supply, sewage treatment, reclaimed water reuse, and zero discharge. It leverages technological advantages to serve the green industrial cycle.
Development of zero-waste group
In February 2024, approved by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Sinochem Holdings became a pilot unit for the development of a “zero-waste group”. Sinochem Environment, as the comprehensive environmental science platform of Sinochem Holdings, relies on its own chemical and environmental technology advantages. Upholding the philosophy of “science-led, low-carbon circular economy, and green development,” it addresses the technical challenges and resource utilization bottlenecks in the chemical environmental protection sector. By leveraging technology, it supports Sinochem Holdings’ “zero-waste group” development and contributes comprehensively to building “zero-waste cities” and the pursuit of a beautiful China.
To date, Sinochem Environment has established two comprehensive haz-ardous waste utilization and disposal centers and one industrial waste salt resource utilization center, with a total treatment capacity of 193,500 tons per year, providing hazardous waste treatment and industrial waste salt resource utilization services for internal waste-producing enterprises in the Northeast, East, and Central regions of China.
Saline-alkali soil reclamation and utilization
Sinochem Environment, as the leader of Sinochem Holdings’ saline-alkali land treatment industry chain, collaborates deeply with the materials sci-ence and life science sectors of the corporation, focuses on the development of modern agricultural industry and the industrial chain of deep processing of agricultural products. To date, Sinochem Environment’s paddy field de-monstration base in Da’an City, Baicheng has a scale of 59,000 mu (3,933 hectares), and the dry land demonstration base spans 45,000 mu (3,000 hectares). These bases have played a demonstrative role in saline-alkali land management and comprehensive utilization.
