The 16th China International Seed Expo and the 21st National Seed Information Exchange and Commodity Trade Fair kicked off in Fuzhou, Fujian Province on Oct. 30. During the event, a series of industry rankings were announced. ChinaSeed clinched the top spot in the list of the top 20 enterprises by total sales of commodity seeds in 2023.

The event also unveiled the top 10 rankings for sales of commodity seeds in different categories like hybrid rice, hybrid corn, wheat, vegetables, and more. ChinaSeed not only topped the charts in overall sales but also clinched the top spot for hybrid rice seeds, secured the second position for hybrid corn seeds, ranked third for wheat seeds, seventh for vegetable seeds, and third for cotton seeds. These results highlight the high level of trust and confidence that farmers place in the company.

The event also unveiled the top 10 varieties with the highest promotion areas for rice, wheat, corn, soybeans, winter rapeseed, peanuts, potatoes, and cabbage in 2023. Notably, the hybrid rice variety Quanyou 822, developed by Win-all Hi-tech Seed, secured a spot in the top 10 varieties by promotion area. Additionally, the wheat varieties Jimai 22, Zhengmai 1860, Jimai 44, and Bainong 4199, promoted by ChinaSeed, were among the top 10 wheat varieties in terms of promotion area.
